Tell us a bit about your family.

I live with my wife, Holly, and my two stepsons, Jakob and Jase, along with our two pet cats. Most of my immediate family still reside in the state of Virginia.

What brought you to the city/town where our office is located?

After working in a variety of leadership roles, I arrived in East New Market, MD from Parksley, a small town on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, to continue pursuing my career aspirations in industries that are both challenging yet rewarding. I have worked in Salisbury, Easton, Washington DC and Norfolk, VA, prior to working in my current role.

Tell us more about yourself

Around the Eastern Shore, some of my most frequent spots are the Burnish Beer Co., Ocean City, MD and Chincoteague, VA.

Outside of the workplace, I am an avid fantasy football fanatic and proudly display the two league championship trophies I have won over the previous few seasons. Also, I am a fan of the Washington Commanders, and I also enjoy watching NASCAR and the PGA.

I am very passionate about the American Cancer Society and its work to develop a cure, as well as the many local events hosted by the organization.

Why do you like working at Maverick Transport?

Maverick Transport is a family-like culture that encourages continuous learning and excellence in everything that we do.

What do you love most about your job?

Not only do I enjoy the work environment of our office, but I enjoy the team members who have helped us create such a positive company culture. Working with talented and creative people throughout Maverick Transport is why I enjoy my role and continue to enjoy my experiences in the organization each day.

What do you think is the most important skill that you bring to the table?

I believe my most important skill I can share with the organization is my expertise in remaining organized and collected when faced with difficult situations. Keeping my poise under pressure is a trait I hope brings calm to the office, even despite any stressful issues we may face.

What have been some of the most important lessons you’ve learned throughout your career?

Early in my career, I learned the importance of understanding the value of everyone’s role in the organization. Regardless of how closely we work together, I found it is critical to show respect and gratitude for every person’s contribution to the company’s overall success. Beyond expressing gratitude, I learned the positive effects of collaboration across various departments and building relationships with fellow motivated individuals to achieve our goals.
